Look in the rear-view mirror
Personal Reflections involve taking time to look back on the past and analyse Scouting goals, achievements, development and learning. Typically, they are the last step towards attaining a peak award.
Personal Reflection discussions should be quite short, can be conducted by youth and adults, and be as natural as practical, although cards featuring the Scout Method and SPICES are useful conversation starters. The discussions provide opportunities for Scouts to consider their:
- time in the age section
- learnings
- achievements
- key milestones
- key decisions
- completed activities
- contribution to creating a better world
